Donate to Dementia UK

Our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses are described as a lifeline by families – and by making a donation, you will ensure families are helped to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

No one should have to face these challenges alone, which is why we need more Admiral Nurses to support families like mine.

Carer

The coronavirus pandemic has created a wide range of problems for those who are caring for people with the complicated, devastating condition of dementia – and demand for our services has never been greater as people desperately need specialist advice and support.

No matter how you choose to support us, your donation will mean that we can give much needed advice and support to families and carers, particularly through our Dementia Helpline.

For example, we are providing advice and support on our Helpline to carers who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, as they do not know when their loved one can go back to the groups and activities they used to do. These groups and activities gave the family carer some respite, which they need to continue providing care and support.

We are also supporting families where a loved one is living in a care home and they have been unable to see them due to the restrictions on visiting. Families who phone the Helpline are distressed about this lack of contact and extremely worried about the physical and mental deterioration in their loved one.

We receive no government funding and rely on voluntary donations which means your support will make a significant difference to the services, advice and support we provide.
