Your donation will ensure dementia specialist Admiral Nurses like me can be there when families need us most.

Ever since I qualified as a nurse 20 years ago, caring for people living with dementia has been close to my heart. Now, as an Admiral Nurse, it's my privilege to support not just people with the diagnosis, but their whole family.

The uncertainty and unpredictability of caring for a loved one with dementia can be overwhelming. There can be difficult decisions to make, new symptoms to understand and times where families simply don't know what to do next.

But every day on Dementia UK's Helpline, I speak to families who are struggling on their own, without the right support or guidance

At Dementia UK we believe everyone affected by dementia should have access to specialist support. That's why we’re here to offer expert advice, reassurance and a listening ear.

That's why Admiral Nurses like me are here, supporting families on the Helpline, in online and face-to-face clinics and in communities across the UK. Your donation means we can be that lifeline when families are trying to understand symptoms, cope with changes in behaviour or make sense of complex health and care systems.

Your generosity helps us be here for families affected by dementia. For every tricky question. Every new symptom. Every new worry. Together, we can make sure an Admiral Nurse is there for every family as they navigate the most difficult and uncertain moments, so no one is left to face dementia alone.

Thank you so much for your support.

Lynsey, Admiral Nurse
